About the Event

Welcome to the Lennox Head Fun Dog Show 2024, the cutest event of all time! This year, we are coming back to take part in the Love Lennox Festival. There will be seven categories for you to enter your pooch, each with a first, second and third place. So get out your sewing machines, get out the treats to train some awesome tricks, and we can't wait to see you all ... Registrations are open!  

How the Show Works

  1. Register your dog below. 
  2. Enter as many categories as you like.
  3. Arrive early at the venue on the day of the event to check-in.
  4. Check-in opens at 7am and closes at 8.30am.
  5. After check-in, please take your pooch for a walk and to the toilet before the show starts.
  6. Arrive back at the venue at 8.50am, 10 minutes before the commencement of the show.
  7. Make a plan to keep your dog comfy while they are waiting for their category.
  8. Bring a tasty chew (like a pig's ear or bully stick) and some water for them while they are waiting to be called up.
  9. Winners will be announced at the end of each category.

Cost: Starting at $5 per entry.  Tickets can be bought online prior to the show.  On the day, tickets can be purchased from the NRAS stand.

Prize: A 24 hour experience at Raes on Wategos for two (2) guests. Inclusive of a one (1) night stay within the best available suite including dinner in our Dining Room, breakfast the following morning and transfers to/from Ballina Airport (or home if local). Valid Until 1" of May 2027. Only valid for a stay from Sunday to Monday - outside of school holidays, public holidays, December & January.

Beneficiery: Northern Rivers Animal Services

The winner:  There can only be one winner.  The winner will be announced at the conclusion of the show, approx 10.45am Saturday 1st June.  The winner does not have to be present to win.

There are some Terms & Conditions to be observed in regards to Lennox Dog Show 2024, and we’ve listed these below.

  1. You may enter as many of the categories as you like, one dog per entry.
  2. If you have more than one dog in your family, you may enter those additional dogs, up to 3 per family.
  3. To register, you must be at least 18+ years old, or have consent from a parent or guardian who is at least 18+ years old.
  4. Registrations must be made one week prior to the commencement of the competition.
  5. Online entries close 27th May 2024.
  6. The cost of registration will be $5 per dog per category. Payment will be taken online prior to the event and on the morning of the show. 
  7. All monies collected for the raffle will go to the Northern Rivers Animal Service.
  8. There will be a total of 3 prizes awarded per competition, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. No equal placings. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
  9. Judges will be confirmed closer to the date of the show.
  10. The judge’s decision will be final. No discussions on the outcomes will be entered into.
  11. Rough treatment of the animals will not be tolerated and participants who partake in inappropriate treatment of their animals will be disqualified.
  12. At any stage, the event manager can request documents to prove the ownership and details about the dog entered into the event.  Refusal to comply with this rule results in disqualification from the category without a refund of the ticket purchase.
  13. You will automatically be signed up to Dogly to receive email updates on future services, which you may unsubscribe to at any time. 


  • Kids Club

    If you have a child who is 12 or under and would like to be one of my helpers during the show, please sign up and come along for the fun. I will have some kiddy prizes to give away too.

  • 1. Weiner Race

    Sale ends: 31 May, 8:00 am

    This is a breed specific event. If you have a Dachshund (or mini Dachshund) this is a race for you. The race will only be 10m long. All dogs will race to you from the start line and the first one to reach their owner wins. You can either bring a second person to be their handler at the start line, or we can provide a handler for you. The event is fully fenced so your dog will be safely enclosed within our 15x6m space.

  • 2. Waggiest Tail

    Sale ends: 31 May, 8:00 am

    Have your dog in any position; standing, sitting or laying down. And do whatever it takes to get that tail wagging - offering treats or verbal praise. You'll be paying attention to their front end, while the judges will be paying attention to their back end. HINT: What are your dog's favourite words to hear?

  • 3. The Peanut Butter Challenge

    Sale ends: 31 May, 8:00 am

    Does your dog LOVE peanut butter? The Byron Bay Peanut Butter company have given us some prizes to help out with this category. We will provide peanut butter on a stick, and the first dog to finish all the peanut butter wins! So simple, so yum, so fun!

  • 4. Most Pleasing Paw Shake

    Sale ends: 31 May, 8:00 am

    The judges will decide which dog gives them the most pleasing feeling while accepting a paw shake from your doggo. You can first demonstrate how well your dog paw-shakes, and then let the judges decide. Bring their favourite treats if you think they will shake better for something tasty in return. Please read "How it works" and the Terms and Conditions for other important details.

  • 5. Doggie Dash

    This is a two dog race. You will position your dog on the start-line and hand the lead over to one of our Dog Show handlers. You then walk a short distance to the finish line, and on the count of 3, your handler drops the leash as you ask your dog to "come", and whoever's dog gets to them first and sits wins. Two dogs get to race each other at one time so there will be heats and a final.

  • 6. Talent Time

    Sale ends: 31 May, 8:00 am

    This event involves asking your dog to perform a trick or unique talent. Some ideas could be dancing, singing (howling to music), jumping through a hula hoop (brought from your home), spin, rollover, play dead ("Bang Bang"), bark/speak on cue, fetch, bow, shake, lay down, stay, come. There is nothing too simple that won't be adored on the day. TIP: Bring tasty treats on the day. And once they have learned the trick at home, see if they can do it in a public place.

  • 7. Best Costume

    Sale ends: 31 May, 8:00 am

    This event does not need much explanation. From designer wear, to superheroes, to matching-owner outfits, to fancy jewellery, the possibilities are endless when it comes to finding the perfect showy outfit for your dog. If your dog is new to dress-ups, search online 'how to get my dog to enjoy dress-ups' and use oodles of treats and praise while they are wearing their outfits.
